Ticket sales only provide about 80% of our costs, so in order for us to continue providing first-class entertainment, we need the support of local businesses and individuals. Therefore, we would like to invite you to be a part of our community.

There are many ways you can help Masquers Playhouse. Monetary donations are always gratefully accepted from either individuals or businesses. As we are a non-profit organization, all donations of this type are tax-deductible. Also, the last Thursday of every production is our benefit night for our theater which includes dinner at the Hotel Mac and the show for $45. Reservations for this benefit can be made through our regular reservation number (510-232-4031) or online. Also, we set aside several other Thursday nights for similar benefits that your group or organization can reserve for your own private fundraiser. Our building is almost 100 years old. It needs substantial retrofitting (seismic and “other”). Yes, we have an “Impossible Dream”. In 1998 the Dean & Margaret Lesher Foundation provided $25,000 for us to develop the ideal theater footprint and architectural plans. They envisioned expanded premises (lobby, restrooms, stage, flyloft, etc. including conformity with ADA requirements). But the cost (>$1,000,000 ?) exceeds our ability to raise funds by the means we have in the past. We seek private, corporate and foundation sponsors interested in supporting a community theater with outstanding artistic talent, impeccable financial management, over 50 years of continuity and strong community support.
